I’m not sure if you saw the news last week, but Accenture made waves by making AI usage a promotion requirement, and the signal couldn't be clearer.

However, logging into a tool isn't the same as knowing how to use it well though. If you’re looking for an edge, you need to invest in understanding how to work with AI thoughtfully: writing better prompts, asking better questions, applying it in context, and building genuine fluency over time. AI isn’t going away, so we need to get better at integrating it into your workflow.

Like Excel or financial modeling, AI will reward those who take the time to learn it properly. And it will get better/easier the more you use it. Regardless of your role or career stage, the most future-proof thing you can do right now is get trained, and find a way to use AI every day.
