Which AI Tool Is Best?

This recently came up with a student I was coaching. On his resume, he had listed that he was “proficient” in ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini in his Skills section. So I naturally asked – what do you use each for? He replied, "That questions has come up in every interview I've had recently!"

We are all becoming AI-obsessed, and it got me thinking about how I use AI. I realized the answer really depends on:

What kind of work am I doing?

Many people use just one tool (often the one work subscribes to), but they all have their pros and cons. But I think the real value isn’t the tool, it’s knowing when to use each one. Here's my suggested use case for each of the tools I use on a weekly basis - this isn't a recommendation but just my experience. I think it's important to experiment with all the tools and find out your own "best use case"!
